          Mamplasan Elementary School opened in 1956 through the leadership of the Barangay Captain, Moises Reyes. The school started with 25 grade one pupils and one teacher. The space in front of the chapel is utilized as the classroom. Due to an increasing number of pupils, three additional levels were organized in 1958. The space provided could not accommodate the increasing enrolment so, the class moved to the old health center and occupied two rooms.
